The Book that started the Environmental Movement

    Title: Silent Spring

    Author: Rachel Carson

    Date Published: around 1962

The book, launched 50 years ago, that was believed to have started the environmental movement and was subjected to much debate and critiquing.
This was the time DDT was the popular pesticide and caused many Japanese farmers and their families grief and suffering for the debilitating illness it caused.

I wish  I could grab a hard copy of this book.

It’s my highly recommended book of the week. :)
